Yes, Burnham Park is the first must-see place in Baguio City, Philippines. It is in the "Heart of Baguio" as they say.

It has been a very long while since Baguio opened it's doors to tourists, one thing that I thought would never happen. I'm so glad that people are welcome now, without travel requirements. The tourism business is booming now that it is summertime and the Lenten season.

The pink umbrella is something I'm glad I brought along as it surprisingly drizzled slightly just when we set foot in Burnham Park..haha

Truly we are extremely happy being here in Baguio City and getting to visit Burnham Park, which we have not visited in a long while - like 6 years or so.

Burnham Park is the most commonly frequented place we go to when we are in Baguio City. It is in fact a Sunday treat to go there during our childhood, as I remember. The biking lanes and the Children's Park near it is a great place to stay.
Now that we are adults, the gardens near the Burnham Lake gets to be a main attraction. It is just located within the city center, Session Road, hence a must-see for travelers and tourists.

Burnham Park is a great place to stay, there's actually so much to see but due to the rain we just passed time by the Burnham Lake and strolled around the picnic groves and the Melvin Jones Grand Stand. We went to the Igorot Park that night during the night market, too.

Next time probably we will go to the Children's Park, Rose Garden, Burnham Orchidarium and Skating Rink.

...because of the pandemic we don't travel, we stay home and that't fine with us.

Tom, I would do the same too if there were travel restrictions strictly imposed here, as I am a homebody and can live with that :) It scares me to go anywhere during this pandemic, to be truly personal, but I do my part of being careful as much as I can though I also think there are no guarantees that one is safe. And so I say I prayer whenever we go out.

It just happens that our country announced Alert Level 1 status which means cases are low - but some say the level status is more because of the election campaign period. It's summer here in the Philippines, and people who were not allowed to go anywhere (not even in the next town without travel requirements) are up and about for what they call "revenge tourism" - going to all tourist destinations whilst the authorities have relaxed. That includes our family making up for all the lost time being together and visiting places when we have time off.

How I pray that countries would announce it is endemic already. It would bring more good especially for the young and the elderly.
