Christmas Is Celebrated Early In The Philippines

Trending on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter on the first of September in the Philippines are Jose Mari Chan, Merry Christmas, Christmas songs.

I will surely be watching out for it today as it is quite exciting what Pinoys come up with, especially these days when most of us stay home due to the ECQ, GCQ or other similar lockdowns

This year I am much more feeling festive because of all the great changes in my life over the past 5 years. I've been playing Christmas songs earlier than September even though my family laugh. I love the classic choices like Bing Crosby's to the funny and cheesy ones by the Philippines' Tito, Vic And Joey. I've likewise been watching much of Christmas-themed movies from the ones that we never get tired of like Home Alone or Grinch to the ones that we have not watched at all.

Here are the songs on my Christmas playlist, most of it a compilation of classic Filipino Christmas Songs. For fellow Pinoys abroad, these might make you homesick...so just enjoy! Araw-araw ay Pasko!

Jose Mari Chan - Christmas In Our Hearts
Gary Valenciano - Pasko Na Sinta Ko
Apo Hiking Society - Himig ng Pasko
Sa Araw ng Pasko
Kampana Ng Simbahan - Mabuhay Singers
 Alpha All Stars - Namamasko
 Kumukutikutitap
Manila Philharmonic Orchestra - Pasko Na Sinta Ko
 Mabuhay Singers - Noche Buena
Pasko Na Naman - Janet Basco
You're All I Want for Christmas - Rico J Puno
Sana Sa Pasko by Sharon Cuneta
 Pasko Medley by Various Artists
 Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit
 Ray Conniff Christmas songs

and of course, my German ancestor's favorites

StilleNacht
O Tannenbaum
Leise Rieselt Der Schnee

How about you...what are your favorite Christmas songs and Christmas movies?
