From one of my favorite war movies based on a true story "Hacksaw Ridge" where a lot of soldiers were not able to make it home to their family, and in our own way we will remember those ones who fell.
This Monday's Music Moves Me prompt is spelling out MEMORIAL DAY with song titles. This music linky party is hosted by Cathy, Stacy and Alana. Special co-host for this week is John of The Sound of One Hand Typing
For this week, I chose songs that relate to war movie soundtracks, and those songs that somehow gave encouragement to the soldiers during their time away from family while serving for the country.
Mama I'm Comin' Home - Ozzy Osbourne
Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor
Moment Of Truth - Survivor
Over There - The Fireside Singers
Riders On The Storm - The Doors
It's A Long Road - Dan Hill
America - Simon and Garfunkel
Legends Never Die - Against The Current
Dear Uncle Sam -Loretta Lynn
All Right Now - Free Band
You Can Call Me Al - Paul Simon
From Sylvester Stallone's Rambo soundtrack: It's A Long Road
This Memorial Day we honor the soldiers, airmen, marines and those who served during the war, yet did not return home.
Nice playlist.
ReplyDeleteVery nice playlist. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteA day for remembrance. I saw Rambo so many years ago. My next door neighbors' two sons fought in Vietnam, as did a supervisor at a job I had years ago. They came back. Today we remember those who didn't come back.
ReplyDeleteThat movie is impressive but always good to remember our fallen heroes.
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun playlist! We will always remember our heroes.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to remember and honor. And sad. So unnecessary, those wars...
